Mississippi Gulf Coast Oyster Shell Recovery Program

Developed and manage an Oyster Shell Recycling Program along the MS Gulf Coast. This program involves educating local restaurant owners on the significance of oyster shells as a renewable natural resource, collecting discarded oyster shells, curing/sun bleaching oyster shells, and planting recycled oyster shells back into Gulf of Mexico waters for oyster reef and/or shoreline restoration projects in Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties, MS.
